experiences in love

11:51

you know the story, of two birds in love,
flying and living high just a pair of doves,
but something happened to 'em that was out of plan,
one of the doves went to look for another man

Well, this one is pretty self explanatory. One day you think you have it all, the next you're gasping for what you believe is your final breath. But really, after a while, you start to move on. You convince yourself that there were differences even if you still don't understand and either way, you gotta evolve like a pokemon and realise that it is never the end of the world. No regret, no sadness, each hurdle you tumble over is just an experience, and sometimes you realise it's not a race, its a marathon, and we all run at different speeds at different stages.

In the short term, it sucks. It sucks hard, because you look for excuses at one point. You blame yourself, you blame others, you blame them. But really, if it happens, why point blame? What is done is done and the best thing to do is to pick yourself up and fight on. It isn't about how many times you get knocked down. It's about how many times you get knocked down, and get back up.

An experience like this taught me many things.
Firstly, take shit on the chin. When life hits you, just hit back harder and stronger and even if you feel like you're losing, make em feel your punch.

Secondly, you become bulletproof. When one of the things you have nightmares about comes to reality, you have realise you no fear. Your nightmare has become real and everything else pales in comparison. Use this to fuel your motivation, and do things you would never do...and no I don't mean one night stands, I mean different experiences you would never try (unless you really really want to one night stand but to each their own). Improve yourself, because happiness is an emotion that you control in your own body. No one else has the switch unless you give it to them.

Thirdly, life is what you make of it. I realised that by making other people happy, I grew my own happiness. I found happiness in making someone else smile, and since then I live my life just trying to keep people smiling without being too overbearing.

It's nice to spread happiness, why not let it fly?

And if the other dove wants to fly away, sometimes you have to let them spread their wings and wish them the best, no matter how much you didn't want to.
